« This major project has involved three generations »
The estate itself was created in 1515 and has been in the Rougemont family for over 250 years.
Giel-Courteilles, a town situated in Southern Normandy, is home to this Domaine, nestled on the banks of the Orne river, between the Domfrontais and Pays d’Auge regions.

« An exceptional Calvados »
This major project has involved three generations, who, over the past thirty years, have been driven by the passion to create an exceptional Calvados.
Christian de Rougemont, the current owner’s father, launched this ambitious challenge back in 1989.

Since 1992, his son Alberic and his wife Florence nurtured the orchard to maturity, started the production of cider, established the cellar and blend the different casks. In 2016, Alice and Flore, their daughters, began their own involvement in helping create the future calvados’ environment and home.
